So the rules are anything goes!! I have thought all week what things to do to fulfill my assignment for this challenge. It has not been easy. So today this is what I did. I did take Andrew to his play group and pick him up for his mom who just had a C-section. But the thing I did that I thought would really count may seem trivial to some but was a big deal to me. I called a lady to give her a telephone number. She is new on camp. Her husband is working for dad. She invited me over for "coffee". My first thought was, "I am just too busy. I don't want to take time to do this." But I said yes I could run over for a half hour. I ended up staying longer. I was excited because the conversation turned to religion. She is pretty strong catholic but was wishing for more from her church group here--what she really wants is the LDS commitment with all the time and energy we put in but to get her kids through their catacism or whatever it is Catholics do around 8 years old. I was so excited I went over because it made me think if I really pray about this and put energy into this, not only will I have a good friend, but maybe a missionary opportunity!! So this is my first act of the challenge: going outside my comfort zone and accepting the invite and then hoping to really turn this into a missionary opportunity.
